Terms of Service

ConquerBid ("the Service", "we", "us") is an entertainment and advertising-novelty website. It displays an interactive 3D map of the world's countries. Users ("Brands", "you") pay to have a color, name, logo, and outbound link displayed on a country tile, and can extend that display onto adjacent countries or take over a tile from another Brand by paying more than the current price.

This is not a sale, lease, transfer, or grant of any real property, sovereignty, or legal claim over any country, territory, or nation. You are purchasing a temporary, revocable display placement on our website - nothing more. Country names, flags, and borders are shown for entertainment purposes and do not represent, and must not be interpreted as, any political statement by us.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By submitting a purchase you confirm you meet this requirement and that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, and are not on any restricted-party list under applicable export control or sanctions laws.

• Capital: your first purchase can be any unclaimed country, at its listed base price.
• Expansion: every purchase after your capital must be for a country that borders (by land or one of our documented sea crossings) a country you already own.
• Takeovers: any country - whether unclaimed or already owned by another Brand - can be purchased by anyone at the price shown at the time of purchase, which increases each time a country changes hands. Ownership transfers immediately and automatically to the highest payer; we do not run an auction or bidding process, and prices are not negotiable.
• Where two payments for the same country are made at nearly the same time, only the higher payment grants ownership; the other is resolved per our Refund Policy.

We may change country prices, the expansion rules, the map, the countries available, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.

All prices are shown and charged in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. By making a payment you also agree to Stripe's Services Agreement.

If you are outbid and lose a country, or if your payment did not grant you ownership (for example, a near-simultaneous higher payment won instead), you are automatically refunded what you paid minus the Stripe processing fee on that charge. Full details are in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

You are solely responsible for the brand name, link, and logo you submit. By submitting them you represent that you own or have the rights to use them, and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display them on the Service and in any promotional material about the Service (e.g. screenshots or social media posts).

You may not submit content or link to a destination that:

• is illegal, fraudulent, or facilitates a scam;
• contains malware, phishing, or deceptive redirects;
• infringes someone else's intellectual property or impersonates another brand or person;
• is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

We may remove or replace your display, suspend your ability to purchase further countries, and/or ban you from the Service at any time if we believe you've violated this section, without prior notice. Removal for a policy violation does not entitle you to a refund beyond what would already be owed under our Refund Policy.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee any particular amount of traffic, clicks, visibility, ranking, or duration of ownership for your display. Another Brand may outbid you at any moment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Your legal name or company name] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the transaction giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold [Your legal name or company name] harmless from any claim, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the content you submit, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
